Clear Aligners

Are you keen on achieving a picture-perfect smile without the discomfort and visibility of traditional braces? Life Dental Care provides quality clear aligner services to help improve the state of your teeth for better function and a new you!

What are clear aligners?

Clear aligners are transparent, custom-made plastic trays designed to fit snugly over your teeth. They gradually move your teeth into their desired position without the use of wires or brackets. These aligners are virtually invisible, offering a discreet way to achieve the smile of your dreams.

Are clear aligners right for me?

Most adults and teenagers can benefit from clear aligners. They’re particularly ideal for those looking to correct the following:

  • Mild to moderate overcrowding
  • Gaps between teeth
  • Minor bite issues

During your consultation, your dentist will assess your unique needs to determine if clear aligners are a good fit for you.

What are the benefits of clear aligners?

For many of our patients, braces — metal or clear — feel like a significant commitment, both in appearance and maintenance. Clear aligners offer a discreet, comfortable alternative and are highly effective in treating various orthodontic issues.

Our clear aligners are not just about aesthetics; they’re a commitment to better oral health. When teeth are properly aligned, they’re easier to clean, which reduces the risk of gum disease and cavities. Plus, with our precision-driven process and the expertise of our dental team, you can be assured of effective, compassionate care.

What is the clear aligner process?

  1. 1. Consultation: Your dentist will discuss your goals and take detailed scans of your mouth, bite and teeth.
  2. 2. Custom Plan: We’ll create a tailored treatment plan showcasing a digital map of your teeth journey.
  3. 3. Receiving Your Aligners: Once your first set of aligners is ready, you’ll start wearing them (for 20-22 hours per day), transitioning to a new set every two weeks.
  4. 4. Regular Check-Ins: You’ll visit us every two weeks to ensure everything is moving according to plan. These appointments are brief, ensuring minimal disruption to your busy schedule.
  5. 5. Post-Treatment: Once your treatment is complete, you’ll receive a retainer to wear at night to prevent your teeth from moving back into their old position.

How long is the treatment?

The duration varies based on individual needs. Most treatments last between 6-18 months. However, you’ll see subtle changes in just a matter of weeks.

How do I care for my clear aligners?

Taking care of your aligners is straightforward:

  • Remove them when eating or drinking anything other than water.
  • Clean them daily with a toothbrush and water.
  • Brush and floss your teeth before placing your clear aligners back in.

One of the most significant benefits of clear aligners is freedom. Without brackets or wires, you can eat whatever you like. Just remember to remove them during meals and clean your teeth afterwards.
